An Online Meeting with the aim to answer questions for students outside China was held on ZOOM, Dec. 28, by CPU School of International Education. 20 student representatives, Vice Dean ZHU Zhilong and international student advisors attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Vice Dean ZHU expressed concerns and condolences to overseas students on behalf of the School, and briefed them on China’s epidemic prevention and control policies and recent developments, and then he gave specific explanations on recent course/exam arrangements and the deployment of various regulations.  He urged everyone to pay special attention to self-protection and safety during the pandemic, and encouraged students to complete studies through the hardship. Later, the academic, visa and financial advisors of international students gave answers to frequently asked questions on school-returning, online courses, final exams, exam rules, internships and scholarships, respectively. In general, the School of International Education wished that everyone can overcome the network and time difference and study hard. Students were encouraged to speak out their questions and communicate with course teachers more frequently.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the School of International Education has continuously refined its work plan in accordance with the changes in China’s and international epidemics and the university’s work requirements, to ensure the orderly development of the study and life of domestic and foreign students. The online meeting provided a platform for exchanges and feedback suggestions for overseas students who were unable to return to school on time, and further enhanced overseas students’ understanding of China’s epidemic prevention policies.
