CPU Launched Student Recruitment in Thailand

Bangkok, Nov. 22-27: For its first time, CPU sends its delegation to participate in the 2016 Chinese Education Exhibition in Thailand. The delegation is led by Prof. JI, Naiwang the CPC Secretary of the Department of Foreign Languages, members include Prof. ZHAO, Li, Doctoral Supervisor from School of Basic Medicine and Clinical Pharmacy, as well as Ms. LIU, Qi, Finance & Scholarship Advisor from Section of International Students.

The education exhibition in Bangkok draws more than 25,000 student attendees and provides the opportunity to meet individually with university representatives. 14 universities from Mainland China participated in this event. In cooperation with Association of Thai-China Friendship, Thammasat University, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Chiang Rai Municipality School 6 and Bangkok TV station, the CPU delegation introduces to local high school students our university’s history, majors, international education and scholarship policies, as well as exchanges ideas with the above institutions on student & faculty exchange and dual-degree programs.

Thailand is a crucial market for international student recruitment in Southeast Asia and a significant location of the “Belt and Road” strategy of China. CPU, as one of the earliest Chinese university to admit international students and a research-oriented university, aims to go “from zero to breakthrough” in Thailand.
