全球疫情持续，全校学生应继续遵守已出台的各项防控措施，保障校园安全，防止疫情反弹，并继续遵纪守法，防火、防盗、防骗、防交通事故。
As the pandemic continues globally, the safety of our campus will depend on vigilant compliance with the well-established public health norms and practices. Besides, we wish everyone residing on-campus to continue to abide by the limitations and take responsibilities to reduce the risk of fire, theft, fraud and transportation.
一、防火用电 Using Fire and Electricity:
冬季为火灾高发期，多因人为疏忽及使用不当。为保障大家的生命财产安全，现重申：
Fire accidents are prevalent in winter largely due to misuse of appliances and remiss. The CPU international community shall work together to ensure public safety. We now re-announce that:
1、寝室和宿舍楼公共场所严禁使用任何火源和空调以外的取暖设备。
All heaters other than air conditioner and all forms of fire are prohibited in bedrooms and public areas of the dormitory building.
2、离开房间时请随手关空调。
When leaving the room, please turn off the air conditioner.
3、接线板、充电器必须远离床铺以防自燃起火。
Wiring board and charger must be kept away from bed or any flammable to avoid ignition.
4、公共厨房不得使用三无或劣质炊具电器。
Unlicensed and low-quality cookers and appliances are forbidden in public kitchens.
5、楼道内严禁存放、充电任何电动车/电滑板/平衡车。
Recharging and storing any form of E-bike/E-scooter/Segway is forbidden inside the building.
冬季我院将加大查房力度，一旦发现违规使用电器情况，将根据情节严重程度给予使用者和所有者处分。如因违规使用电器或电器使用不当引发火灾，依据火警鉴定报告，使用者须承担相关法律责任。
In winter, the School will strengthen the fire prevention and control. Upon detection, prohibited utilities will be confiscated, and warning notice will be issued to the user and owner of such utilities. Fire accidents caused by misuse of electrical appliances or using fire in places with fire hazard, according to the Accident Identification Report by the Fire Police, the user shall assume all legal responsibilities.
近期我院将联合保卫处进行消防演练。
The School will carry out a fire drill with the Campus Security Office recently.
二、防盗和其他传统犯罪Prevention of Theft and other Regular Crimes
1、离开寝室前随手关门窗。不要将卡借给其他人。
Shut the doors and windows if you will be out of dormitory. Do not lend Campus Card to others.
2、避免在宿舍存放大额现金及贵重物品，勿炫富攀比。
Avoid storing large amount of cash and expensive goods in dormitory. Do not show off monetary goods.
3、与朋友外出时，不要喝离开视线的水和饮料。
When you go out with friends, do not drink water/drink that has been out of sight.
4、不帮别人夹带、运输不明包裹。
Do not deliver or transport unknown packages for others.
三、网络安全Online Fraud Protection
网络诈骗日趋复杂和隐蔽，从骗取短信验证码转走银行存款，到“在家工作”“低息贷款”“裸聊”“低价机票”“代办工作许可”陷阱等等。学院在此一再提醒：
Online fraud is becoming more and more sophisticated and complex and it can range anywhere from efforts to gain text message verification numbers for stealing money from the bank card, to harmful hoaxes in guise of work-from-home, low-interest loans, adult video chats, cheap air tickets, work permit in China, etc. and may result in economic and emotional harm. The School hereby notifies all that:
1、不随意向陌生人特别是陌生网友透露护照号、生日、地址等信息，避免被盗用身份。Learn about Big Data and how the algorithm can be used to steal your personal information. Do not tell passport number, date of birth, address info unless you have to (opening a bank account, applying for visa).
2、公安、法院不会通过电话通知当事人。任何让你打钱到“安全账户”的都是诈骗。Always remember the police and court will not notify the victim or witness through the phone and that any request to remit money to a secure account is a fraud.
3、收到汇款提示时，与先收款方本人确认。If you receive an invoice or transfer instructions, make sure to verify in person.
4、天上不会掉馅饼，谨防“低价机票”“抢红包”、中奖、返现等类型诈骗。There is no free lunch. Free is the most expensive. Don’t click any “low-price air ticket” “lucky money” or scan all QR codes when you see, it may be phishing scam or spy application.
5、不下载不明来路的软件/应用程序，或在有奖竞猜/网上投票/在线智力测试填真实个人资料。Don't install software/APP with unknown origin, or fill in your personal information for advertisement/online voting/IQ test, etc.
6、慎重交友特别是网友。
Be cautious about making ‘friends’ on Wechat and social media.
四、交通安全Transportation Safety
1、切勿无证/无牌驾驶机动车！Do not drive car/ride motorcycle without driver’s license or without vehicle plate.
2、骑电动车需佩戴头盔，雨雪天气谨慎慢行，勿遮挡视线。Wear a helmet when riding an E-bike. Walk and ride bike slowly in rainy/snowy days. Do not cover the sight.
